PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Drummond (ranked 2692 p4p, 2629 weight class) and Barry Kingsmill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jake Drummond has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jake Drummond seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Drummond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barry Kingsmill!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drummond bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kingsmill's head backwards.

It looks like Barry Kingsmill has been cut.
Drummond throws a hook but Kingsmill blocks it.
Kingsmill is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Kingsmill goes for a double leg but Drummond avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Drummond continues to drive forward.
Kingsmill uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Drummond.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Drummond will probably get the nod.

Drummond tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kingsmill is able to avoid easily.
Drummond lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Drummond cracks Kingsmill with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kingsmill falls to his knees and Drummond doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
