Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edd Norton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Peter!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peter misses with a takedown attempt
and Norton counters with a stiff right hand.
Peter clinches up with Norton and pushes him back against the cage.
Norton lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Peter backwards.
Peter is trying to force a seperation but Norton has the dominant position.
Norton lands a right hand that snaps the head of Peter backwards.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Norton.
Norton throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Peter's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A shot in the inside from Norton.
Peter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Norton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Peter shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Norton drops Peter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Peter looks back up at him and smiles so Norton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Peter is rocked!
Peter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Norton cracks Peter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Norton has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peter to stand back up!
Peter is still on wobbly legs! Can Norton finish him?
Norton measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Peter! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Edd Norton!
After winning the bout, Edd Norton thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Alex Peter stepped up to the mic, saying 'I want a rematch'.
