The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poilane looking to score a takedown here. Duran is defending well but Poilane drives through and ends up in Duran's guard.
Duran utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Poilane pushes down on Duran's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Poilane is looking for a kimura but Duran is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Poilane to get the leverage.
Poilane is trying to control the action in half guard but Duran is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
