Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Puzo (ranked 1979 p4p, 6224 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 248 p4p, 634 weight class). Puzo's entrance music is Speak Softly Love. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puzo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scott.
Puzo feinted with a counter takedown.
Scott lands with a nice body kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Puzo.
Scott is looking to chop away at Puzo's legs.
Puzo looks for a takedown but Scott sprawls well.
Puzo looks for the body kick but Scott saw that one coming.
Scott throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Scott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Scott comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Puzo swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scott throws a leg kick that is checked
letting Puzo counter with a right hand.
Scott throws a half hearted mid kick.
Puzo swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Puzo moves out of range of the body kick.
Puzo has his takedown stuffed
and Scott counters with a low kick, right behind Puzo 's knee.
Puzo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Scott.
Puzo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scott now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Scott lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Puzo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scott can pounce on him.

Puzo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Puzo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Scott is looking to escape.

Puzo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Scott has managed to free his arm - good work.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott is looking for a sweep. Puzo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Scott is refusing to be controlled, as Puzo sits in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth.

Scott is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Puzo has latched onto it... Big trouble! Puzo pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Scott is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Puzo!
