The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Shredder.
Slash swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Shredder swats away the attempt to clinch by Slash.
Slash looks to throw the jab but Shredder is out of range.

Shredder looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Slash throws a right hand that Shredder ducks under and follows up with a left that Shredder also avoids with ease.

Slash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shredder.

It seemed like Shredder was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shredder looks to land a combination but Slash avoids it well.
Slash wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Slash Shredder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shredder throws a right and a left that Slash avoids nicely.

Slash is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shredder.
Slash throws a hook to the side of Shredder's head but Shredder sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Slash wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shredder has him pressed against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shredder Slash.
Well Slash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
