Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Alexander (ranked 3221 p4p, 6636 weight class) and Robin Godbeer (ranked 337 p4p, 561 weight class). Godbeer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Electric . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dimitri Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robin Godbeer! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander lands a nice shot to the body.
Godbeer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alexander moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jab from Alexander. Alexander feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Godbeer sprawling to the canvas! Godbeer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Alexander finish him?!
It looks like Robin Godbeer has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Godbeer clinches. Godbeer tries to circle away but Alexander has him pinned against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alexander creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Godbeer looks winded! Alexander softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Alexander lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Godbeer backwards. Alexander avoids a wild elbow strike from Godbeer. Alexander pushes Godbeer back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alexander creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Alexander throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Godbeer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A short right hand to the side of the head by Alexander. Alexander lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Godbeer. Alexander throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Godbeers head. Alexander lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Godbeer backwards. Alexander drops Godbeer onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Godbeer is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Godbeer is rocked! A left hand lands to the body for Alexander.
Godbeer is still on wobbly legs! Can Alexander finish him? Alexander creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Godbeer with a big uppercut! Godbeer tries to clinch up but Alexander pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Godbeer to the mat! Godbeer covers up and Alexander unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dimitri Alexander! During a confident post fight interview, Dimitri Alexander thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. The defeated Robin Godbeer had this to say: 'Respect to my opponent, he was the better fighter tonight '.
