Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Henderson (ranked 4295 p4p, 4265 weight class) and Joana Guerra (ranked 507 p4p, 0 weight class). Joana Guerra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Henderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joana Guerra! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson goes for a double leg but Guerra avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Guerra continues to drive forward. Guerra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Henderson tries to circle away but Guerra has him pinned against the cage. Henderson blocks the elbow strike.
Guerra turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Guerra working away. A lull in the action here. You can see the frustration on Henderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guerra scores with a couple of short elbows. Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guerra on the ground. Henderson tries to improve position but can't. Guerra throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Henderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Guerra is putting a hurting on Henderson here, landing some big shots from side control. A control attempt from Henderson but he's now mounted! Henderson wants to control but Guerra is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Guerra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Henderson working to try and regain half guard.
Henderson wants to hold on but Guerra pushes him away. Guerra raining down shots from the mount! Henderson tries to lock up and control but Guerra gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Guerra tries to control but Henderson wriggling away. The referee warns Henderson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Guerra lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Henderson is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Henderson tries to lock up and control but Guerra gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Joana Guerra dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Guerra dives in for a single leg takedown but Henderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Henderson moves in looking to clinch but Guerra pushes him off. Guerra's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Henderson in particular looking to stall. Guerra moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to stand but Guerra has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Guerra is looking for a triangle but Henderson pushes his legs off easily.
Henderson wants to stand but Guerra is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Guerra keeping moving, preventing Henderson from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Henderson tries a head kick but it misses.

Henderson appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Henderson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guerra sprawls well. Guerra wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Guerra can't fight it off and eventually Henderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Guerra looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Guerra scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Guerra is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Guerra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Henderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Guerra is one step ahead there. Henderson is working hard here to advance position.
