Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soons Sam (ranked 23324 p4p, 3615 weight class) and Abdul Azizsbatereja (ranked 636 p4p, 457 weight class). Abdul Azizsbatereja will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soons Sam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abdul Azizsbatereja! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sam bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Azizsbatereja is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sam asserts his dominance and retains side control. Azizsbatereja on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Azizsbatereja is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sam working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Azizsbatereja wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam in side control lands a decent elbow. Sam stands up and beckons Azizsbatereja to his feet. Azizsbatereja misses with a two punch combination.
Sam throws a head kick but Azizsbatereja moves out of range.
Sam closes the distance and clinches. Azizsbatereja has had enough of the clinch but Sam keeps him there for the moment. Sam swings wildly with an uppercut but Azizsbatereja uses good head movement to avoid it. Sam turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Azizsbatereja tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Azizsbatereja in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Azizsbatereja has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sam is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Azizsbatereja can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sam looking to control but Azizsbatereja is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sam controlling his opponent. Sam is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Azizsbatereja to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Azizsbatereja shrugs it off. Sam looking to control and managing it successfully. Sam pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Azizsbatereja really wants to buck Sam off and get back to his feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sam sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Azizsbatereja really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sam working for a guillotine from mount but Azizsbatereja is in no mood to give up. Azizsbatereja is trying to stand up. Sam controlling the pace for now. Sam landing strikes from the mount and Azizsbatereja is in trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sam scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sam can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Azizsbatereja is looking to escape. BOOM! Sam connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Azizsbatereja is rocked! Azizsbatereja squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Sam controlling his opponent. Sam moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Azizsbatereja has worked his arm free - good work by Azizsbatereja!
Sam moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Soons Sam dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Sloppy strikes from Azizsbatereja. Those never looked like landing. Azizsbatereja tries to clinch but Sam moves out of range. A little feinted left hand from Sam on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sam looking to score a takedown here. Azizsbatereja is defending well but Sam drives through and ends up in Azizsbatereja's guard. Azizsbatereja wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sam manages to pass to side control. Sam is looking to take a break and control but Azizsbatereja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sam with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sam passes to full mount! Sam controlling the position easily from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sam pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sam tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sam lands a nice shot to the head. Azizsbatereja wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Azizsbatereja has left one of his arms exposed and Sam doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Azizsbatereja screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
