Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daaniel Teteny (ranked 5989 p4p, 4205 weight class) and Ryusuke Kitano (ranked 656 p4p, 498 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Daaniel Teteny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryusuke Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teteny looking to score a takedown here. Kitano is defending well but Teteny drives through and ends up in Kitano's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Teteny drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Teteny jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Teteny postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kitano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Teteny, into his guard.

Teteny has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kitano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kitano wants to stand but Teteny has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teteny working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kitano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kitano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Teteny is working an open guard so Kitano takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
We've been told by Teteny's head coaches at Tran MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kitano jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Teteny shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kitano counters with a stiff right hand.
Kitano lands with an overhand left.
Kitano misses with a hook.
Kitano scores with a hook to the body. Teteny takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kitano misses with an uppercut. Teteny saw that one coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Teteny looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Teteny shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kitano as he jumps to the side.
Teteny slips under a jab.
A cross from Kitano lands.
Teteny is looking to land body kicks.
Kitano waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Teteny.
Teteny ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kitano moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Teteny takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kitano jabs Teteny right on the nose. Teteny blinks but takes it well.
Kitano pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Teteny feinted with a counter takedown.
Kitano jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Teteny is rocked!
Teteny tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oh Teteny is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kitano connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Teteny out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryusuke Kitano!
A relieved looking Ryusuke Kitano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
