Karol Krawczyk has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Harold Kerzner's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Karol Krawczyk!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Kerzner.
Kerzner misses with a hook.
Krawczyk throws a jab but it's blocked by Kerzner.
Kerzner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kerzner lands a nice shot to the body.
Krawczyk throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Krawczyk needs to keep his hands up - Kerzner had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Karol Krawczyk has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Krawczyk.
Krawczyk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kerzner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kerzner dips to his left and cracks Krawczyk with an uppercut!
Krawczyk misses with a double jab
and Kerzner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Krawczyk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kerzner lands a right hand.
Krawczyk is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kerzner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Krawczyk takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Krawczyk fails to land with a series of punches.
Krawczyk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kerzner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Krawczyk's guard.

Krawczyk is rocked!
Krawczyk looks winded!

Kerzner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kerzner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Krawczyk is still in real trouble! Can Kerzner finish him?

Kerzner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Krawczyk looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Krawczyk looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Krawczyk!

Krawczyk seems to have recovered his senses.
Kerzner is trying to improve his position.
Krawczyk trying to control the position but Kerzner is working away.
Kerzner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Krawczyk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Kerzner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kerzner sneaks back into half guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Krawczyk working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Krawczyk is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kerzner manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Krawczyk lands a couple of digs.

Kerzner pushes a forearm under Krawczyk's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Krawczyk is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Harold Kerzner!
