Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mika Oja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson Steelflex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steelflex has chosen Dirty Hous' as his entrance music. Mika Oja could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jefferson Steelflex's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mika Oja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferson Steelflex!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Oja.
Steelflex looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Oja stuffs the takedown attempt from Steelflex. Steelflex gets slowly back to his feet.
Steelflex wants to slow Oja down by chopping away at his legs.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Steelflex.
Steelflex tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oja was well out of range. Poor timing from Steelflex.
Steelflex tries to clinch but Oja moves out of range.
Steelflex closes the distance and clinches up with Oja, looking for a takedown. Steelflex pushes Oja against the cage but Oja circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Steelflex counters with a shoot takedown. Oja fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Steelflex shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Oja is looking to control Steelflex's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Oja avoid being mounted?

Oja is looking for a sweep. Steelflex is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Oja is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Steelflex pulls his head out easily.

Oja is in trouble now - Steelflex has advanced to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

BOOM! Steelflex connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Steelflex prevents Oja from getting the reversal.
Oja regains half guard.
Steelflex tries to pass the half guard into mount. Oja knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Steelflex is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Steelflex takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Steelflex crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oja - the referee stops the clock and Steelflex gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oja. Steelflex manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Steelflex feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
