Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason McNamara (ranked 5183 p4p, 24722 weight class) and Zayne Cold (ranked 0 p4p, 654 weight class). Cold has chosen Born In The Winter as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mason McNamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zayne Cold!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cold feints a counter leg kick.
Cold defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McNamara.
Cold avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McNamara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cold pinned against the cage. Cold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fight stays on the outside here - McNamara looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McNamara blocks the body kick.
Cold lands with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McNamara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cold looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cold is not content to let McNamara control the position.

McNamara throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
No joy there for McNamara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McNamara fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cold sprawls well initially but McNamara persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cold has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McNamara is working away from the top position though.
Cold looks like he's trying to stand up.
McNamara content to control rather than advance.

Cold throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and McNamara manages to pass to side control.
McNamara has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
BOOM! McNamara connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cold is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cold has his foot on McNamara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McNamara works his way back into a safe position though.

Mason McNamara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cold wants to control but McNamara is keeping busy and won't allow it.
McNamara works his foot free and advances to mount.
McNamara is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cold to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cold shrugs it off.

McNamara is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cold can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
McNamara prevents Cold from getting the reversal.

You get the feeling that Cold really doesn't like being in this position too much.

McNamara has hold of Cold's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cold manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cold wants to hold on but McNamara pushes him away.
McNamara lands a heavy elbow.
McNamara takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

McNamara cracks Cold with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McNamara, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Zayne Cold was interviewed post fight and said 'As my mum once said, every loss is one step closer to achieving greatness, and brother, I will not let this win stop me from finding you. I will end your career, put you in poverty. Just like you did to our family.'.
