PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petro Gracie (ranked 2473 p4p, 23052 weight class) and Terry Evans (ranked 95 p4p, 206 weight class). Terry Evans told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Terry Evans!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Evans darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gracie on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gracie tries to get out of the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Evans connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple.

Evans wants to work for an arm triangle but Gracie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
