And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Wesley Shutes!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Zynne.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shutes checks a leg kick.
Shutes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shutes defending well as Zynne loads up on a big left hand.
Shutes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A big right from Zynne misses.
Zynne throws an off balance right hand
and Shutes counters with a good low kick that Zynne was not able to check.
Zynne checks a leg kick.
Zynne swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Zynne throws a body kick that misses.
Zynne scores with a jab to the head.
Zynne takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shutes slips a straight right by Zynne.

Shutes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zynne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

enabling Shutes to counter with a crisp jab.

Zynne sends Shutes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zynne is motioning to the referee to let Shutes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Howard Zynne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zynne is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Zynne throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zynne throws out a loose jab but Shutes uses good head movement to avoid it.

A solid leg kick lands there for Shutes.
Zynne misses with a straight left.
Zynne moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromShutes.
Zynne misses with a hook.

and Shutes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Zynne avoids the head kick by Shutes.

Zynne cracks Shutes with a right hand to the side of the head.
A jab from Zynne misses.
Zynne feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shutes sprawling to the canvas! Shutes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zynne finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shutes looks up at the clock. Bad move! Zynne lands a right hand from hell, dropping Shutes. Zynne pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Howard Zynne!
Howard Zynne took some time post fight to say the following; 'Sorry I had to do the former champ like that, but I'm just a whole ass problem at 170 and nobody's gonna stop me.'.
