The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos throws a lazy right hand but Brown sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Santos seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Santos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Santos ducks under a wild hook from Brown.
Brown misses with a looping left.
Santos is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Brown.
Santos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santos is defended easily by Brown.
Brown throws a body punch but Santos moves out of range.
Brown scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Brown misses with a double jab.
Santos wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Michael Santos has been cut.
Brown cracks Santos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brown misses with a left hand

and Santos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos content to stall in guard here.

Santos is pushing down on Brown's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brown is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through.
Santos wants to pass the guard but Brown is defending well.

Brown is in trouble now - Santos has advanced to mount!
Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brown is looking to escape.

Brown tries to buck Santos off so he can stand up but Santos has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Brown falls backwards, slamming Santos to the mat but Santos holds on tight! Brown is forced to tap and this one is all over!
