Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Twea King (ranked 1692 p4p, 864 weight class) and James Quin (ranked 193 p4p, 101 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twea King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Quin!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

King lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Quin backwards.
King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
King has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
King throws a series of punches but Quin moves out of range.

Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Quin's head back.

Quin jumps into guard, dragging King to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Quin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. King stacks Quin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by King!

King lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Quin is trying to pull guard but King has him pressed against the cage.
King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Quin can do to turn this around?

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Twea King.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for King, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
