Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Twea King (ranked 1692 p4p, 864 weight class) and James Quin (ranked 193 p4p, 101 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twea King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Quin! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A shot in the inside from King. King lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Quin backwards. King pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. King has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. King throws a series of punches but Quin moves out of range. King is looking to clinch. Quin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Quin's head back.
A shot to the body from King misses and Quin counters with a lovely straight right hand! King bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Quin's head. Quin misses with a shot to the body and King counters with a left to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. King has Quin up against the cage in a clinch.

Quin has King pressed against the cage, preventing King from circling away and getting back to striking at range. King blocks an uppercut.
King gets through Quin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Quin throws a head punch that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. King blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by King. A head punch blocked on the inside by Quin. A frustrated look appears on King's face as he tries to break the clinch. King lands a left hand that snaps the head of Quin backwards. King lands with a left to the head. King blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A short right from King. Quin prevents a body shot from King. Quin blocking some punches.
King misses with a hook to the ribs.
Quin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.
King misses with a shot to the body and Quin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Quin was well out of range. Poor timing from King. King rushes Quin and presses him up against the cage. Quin blocks an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quin jumps into guard, dragging King to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action! King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Quin looking to control.
King controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead King passes into half guard.
Quin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Quin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Quin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Quin working for a triangle but King defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Quin looking to hit a scissor sweep but King is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Quin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. King stacks Quin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by King! Quin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. King prevents Quin from improving his position. King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Quin is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Well, if King is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Twea King dominated that round. That's time! King's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. King misses with a few strikes there.
Quin misses with an uppercut. King lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A slow jab from King misses its intended target. King moves away from the strike by Quin. Quin gets tackled into the cage by King. King maintains the clinch. Quin is trying to pull guard but King has him pressed against the cage. King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Quin can do to turn this around? A head punch on the inside from King fails to land. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for King. King misses with some punches.
Quin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as King walks away with a smile on his face. Quin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King throws a body punch but Quin moves out of range. Quin let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Quin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Twea King is winning the standup battle so far. A big left from King misses. Quin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but King moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. King scores with a jab to the head.
Quin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Quin dodges the punch combination from King.
Quin circles away from the clinch attempt.
King lands a head shot. King tries to clinch there but Quin circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Quin misses. King lands with a shot to the body. King tries to clinch but Quin moves out of range. Twea King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. King throws an overhand right that lands on Quin's shoulder, as Quin tries to avoid the shot. King throws a hook but Quin avoids it easily. Quin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
King has managed to clinch.
Quin pulls guard effortlessly. This has been an exciting period of action! Quin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and King defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King preventing the sweep. Quin looking to control but King passes into half guard.
Quin is trying to get back to full guard. Quin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. King prevents Quin from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Quin looking for submissions off his back. King throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Quin is looking for a sweep. King is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Quin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of King's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take King's back! King is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Quin is looking for the choke from the back position but King is controlling his hands well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quin looking for the RNC. Quin struggling to keep hold of the position.
Quin is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. King is defending well though. Quin let's go of the attempt for now. Quin patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Quin looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. King is controlling Quin 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. King stands and throws Quin's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Twea King dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Quin misses with a straight left. King closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Quin's face as he tries to break the clinch. King struggles to land a body shot inside as Quin controls his hands.
King lands on the inside with an uppercut. Quin throws a punch but it's blocked by King. Still in the clinch, King scores with a nice short uppercut. King breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. King looks to clinch letting Quin counter with a right hand. Quin tries to keep at a distance but King has taken the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quin has a couple of punches blocked by King.
King presses Quin against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. King can't find room to land a body shot as Quin controls the action.
Quin prevents a body shot from King. Twea King has scored more points in the clinch so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Quin. Quin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A head punch on the inside from King fails to land. Quin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Quin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. King postures up.
King looking to control the position here, rather than advance. James Quin has got the better of the ground game so far. Quin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Quin looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
James Quin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. King stopping the sweep attempt from Quin. Quin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but King puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Quin is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute King jumps into side control! Quin taking punishment in the form of punches.
King controlling the position. Quin is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Quin is looking for a kimura here.
Quin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Twea King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Quin moves to the back position. King trying to control the hands but Quin breaks the grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quin working for a choke but King reverses nicely into Quin 's guard. King content to stall in guard here. Quin working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because King has passed into half guard!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Quin tries to get to full guard but King has control of the leg.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Twea King. Well I reckon that's a shut out for King, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
