Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Braddock (ranked 3018 p4p, 3055 weight class) and Vince Gomer (ranked 320 p4p, 328 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Braddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vince Gomer!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomer connects with a right hand. Braddock shakes it off.
Gomer keeps the fight on the outside.
Gomer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Braddock as he avoids it easily.
Braddock jabs Gomer right on the nose. Gomer blinks but takes it well.
Braddock takes the fight into the clinch.
Gomer is trying to pull guard but Braddock has him pressed against the cage.
Braddock is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gomer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Braddock to the mat. Braddock regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gomer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Braddock thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Braddock tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Braddock manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Gomer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Braddock smiles and moves away.
Victor Braddock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Gomer.

Braddock half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Braddock keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Horrible takedown attempt by Braddock or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomer, which made it look bad.
Gomer tries to counter with a clinch but Braddock shakes him off and moves away.
Braddock clinches up against the cage.
Gomer tries to pull guard but Braddock won't allow it.
Braddock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Braddock pushes Gomer up against the cage in a clinch.
Gomer jumps guard but Braddock stands there with Gomer around his waist. Gomer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gomer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Braddock stands up from Gomer's guard - Braddock perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gomer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Braddock to the ground. Gomer is now in Braddock's guard.
Braddock is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Gomer dives into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Braddock is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Braddock sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Braddock tries to kick Gomer off but Gomer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gomer lands a nice short elbow.
Gomer is stalling here. Braddock is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gomer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Braddock has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Gomer is looking for a sweep.

Braddock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomer keeps working.
Gomer can't do much from the bottom here.
Braddock with the ground and pound but Gomer regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Gomer is trying to control but can't.
Braddock misses with a head shot. Gomer uses the momentum to regain guard.
Braddock trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gomer wants to clinch.
Gomer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Braddock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Braddock trying to keep a closed guard but Gomer is proving a slippery customer.
Braddock has his foot on Gomer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gomer works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braddock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Braddock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gomer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gomer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gomer lands a couple of elbows.
Braddock looking to control.
Gomer is standing up over Braddock. Braddock looks to escape but Gomer dives into side control.
Gomer trying to control the position but Braddock is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Gomer stalls from top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Braddock can't do much from the bottom here.
Gomer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Braddock rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gomer's guard! Nice work there by Braddock!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gomer holds on and takes a little breather.
Braddock controlling from the top position.

Gomer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Braddock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gomer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Braddock goes for a double leg but Gomer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gomer continues to drive forward.
Gomer tries to pull guard but Braddock holds him up against the cage and eventually Gomer drops back down to his feet.
Gomer is trying to drag Braddock to the mat but Braddock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Braddock tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gomer avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Braddock has Gomer pressed against the cage.
Braddock successfully pulls guard.
Gomer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gomer's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Gomer tries to stand but Braddock is controlling from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gomer content to stall in guard here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Vince Gomer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Braddock wants to clinch.
Braddock looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gomer tries to counter with a clinch but Braddock shakes him off and moves away.
Gomer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Braddock napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Braddock tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Gomer has hold of Braddock's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Braddock manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomer lands a big elbow.

Braddock bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Braddock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gomer takes a swing at Braddock's ribcage but misses.
Gomer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Braddock quickly recovers to half guard.
Braddock pushes Gomer off and gets back to his feet.
Braddock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Braddock is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Gomer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Braddock is proving hard to escape from.
Braddock looking for a guillotine here but Gomer defends easily.

You can see the frustration on Braddock's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Braddock pushes Gomer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gomer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gomer throws a strike aimed at the side of Braddock's head but Braddock avoids it well.

Braddock tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gomer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gomer throws a right and a left that Braddock avoids nicely.
Braddock fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Vince Gomer.
I think Gomer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
