Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 1609 p4p, 1127 weight class) and Jolly Roger (ranked 230 p4p, 167 weight class). Roger has chosen Under Jolly Roger as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jolly Roger!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a swing at Roger's ribcage but misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Roger has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Roger swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Roger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Roger shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Roger finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silva connects with a nice short shot to Roger's temple.
