Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rick Richardson (ranked 3746 p4p, 2991 weight class) and Dill Nickle (ranked 346 p4p, 293 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rick Richardson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dill Nickle! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richardson closes the distance and clinches. Nickle misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Richardson lands with a light punch inside. Richardson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Richardson manages to break the clinch.
Nickle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Richardson defends it nicely. Nickle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Richardson ducks under a wild hook from Nickle. Richardson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nickle's head. Richardson connects with a single shot there. Nickle avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nickle. Richardson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nickle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickle throws an elbow that misses. Richardson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nickle's guard. Nice move by Richardson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richardson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nickle keeping moving, preventing Richardson from controlling successfully. Richardson tries to free his leg and advance position but Nickle is retaining full guard. Richardson is stalling in the full guard. Nickle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nickle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Richardson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nickle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickle tries to bench press Richardson off him but Richardson keeps the position. Nickle is still trying to improve position. The strikes coming from Richardson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Nickle seems a little lost for a moment, as Richardson dominates the positioning. Richardson stands up and beckons Nickle to his feet. Nickle misses with an uppercut. Richardson saw that one coming. Nickle on the wrong end of a nice jab. Nickle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nickle swings for the body but Richardson moves out of range.

Nickle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Richardson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Richardson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nickle keeps working. Richardson seems to be working for a kimura but Nickle defends the submission attempt. Nickle is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Richardson. Richardson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Richardson trying to control from half guard but Nickle is working away. Richardson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Richardson controlling the pace. Nickle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Richardson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Richardson's back! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Richardson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. A swing and a miss from Nickle. Richardson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A shot to the body from Nickle misses and Richardson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Richardson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nickle at a distance.
Richardson scores with a nice head shot. Nickle fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Richardson lands a lovely overhand right. Nickle shoots and misses and Richardson counters with a nice uppercut. It looks like Richardson has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Nickle misses with a body punch
and Richardson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Richardson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nickle dives in and grabs Richardson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richardson pushes down on Nickle's head and hops out. Rick Richardson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dill Nickle. Nickle throws an off balance right hand
and Richardson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Richardson moves into the clinch successfully.
Richardson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Richardson gets through Nickle's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A right hand to the body from Richardson.
Nickle is breathing heavily. A short right hand to the side of the head by Richardson. Nickle misses with some punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickle takes a shot to the head. Richardson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Richardson scores with the left hand. Nickle knows he should have avoided that one. Nickle throws a big shot that misses. Nickle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Richardson counters with a stiff right hand. Richardson scores with a hook. Richardson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nickle can do to turn this around? Richardson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Richardson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rick Richardson is winning the standup battle so far. Nickle drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Richardson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Richardson closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! Nickle gets the takedown into side control. Richardson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Nickle has his takedown stuffed and Richardson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richardson cracks Nickle with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Richardson lands with a cross. Richardson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nickle. Richardson scores with a punch to the head. Richardson misses with a low kick.
Nickle with the counter takedown but Richardson avoids it easily. Nickle throws a hook to the side of Richardson's head but Richardson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Richardson works Nickle's body with a nice hook. Richardson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nickle misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Richardson counters with a straight right hand. Richardson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Richardson lands a glancing blow to the side of Nickle's head. Nickle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nickle there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nickle is rocked! Richardson cracks Nickle with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nickle is still on wobbly legs! Can Richardson finish him? Richardson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Richardson forces Nickle back against the cage and clinches. Richardson pushes Nickle against the cage. Richardson is working some dirty boxing. Richardson pushes off with a quick right hook! Nickle goes down! Nickle tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Richardson moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Richardson! Jumping up and down and very excited, Rick Richardson waved his t-shirt featuring Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
