Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Second Wife (ranked 3964 p4p, 3146 weight class) and Jose Armando (ranked 435 p4p, 354 weight class). Jose Armando has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Second Wife!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Armando!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Armando rushes Wife and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Armando lands a takedown into guard.
Armando is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Armando pushes down on Wife's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Armando decides to stand and escape the position.
Armando fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wife to the ground. Armando is now in Wife's guard.
Wife is looking to stand back up but Armando counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wife.
Armando is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wife knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Armando on the ground.
It looks like Armando might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wife's coaches at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Armando uses his free foot to push down on Wife's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wife.
Wife is controlling an arm, preventing Armando from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Armando takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Armando has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Wife is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Armando's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Armando working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Armando.
Wife throws a head punch that misses.
Armando is trying to trip Wife. He has hold of a leg but Wife is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Armando persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Armando slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Armando.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armando seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Armando drops back looking for a leg! Wife is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wife manages to kick Armando off! Armando jumps back into Wife's guard.

Jose Armando showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Armando closes the distance and pushes Wife back into the cage.
Wife gets through Armando's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Jose Armando has been cut.
Wife misses with a hook from the clinch.
Armando wants the takedown. Wife is fighting it off but Armando persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wife's guard against the cage.

Jose Armando comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Armando has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
