Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Caio Barbosa (ranked 1858 p4p, 1493 weight class) and Yamaoka Yukinobu (ranked 106 p4p, 84 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Caio Barbosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yamaoka Yukinobu!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa misses with an uppercut.
Yukinobu moves away from the strike by Barbosa.
Yukinobu looks to land a body kick but Barbosa moved away.
Yukinobu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barbosa to score with a decent uppercut.
Yukinobu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Barbosa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Barbosa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yukinobu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barbosa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barbosa takes one to the chin there.
Yukinobu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barbosa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Yukinobu tries to bum rush Barbosa with a series of wild strikes but Barbosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Yukinobu lands with a thumping leg kick.

Yukinobu throws a body punch but Barbosa moves out of range.
Yukinobu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barbosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Yukinobu.

Barbosa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yukinobu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Yukinobu slips under a jab.
Barbosa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yukinobu.

Yukinobu walks into a straight right hand from Barbosa.
Barbosa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Barbosa blocks the body kick.
Yukinobu throws a looping overhand right but Barbosa ducks down to avoid it.

Barbosa misses with a shot to the body

and Yukinobu counters with a shoot takedown. Barbosa fights it but they end up in guard.

Barbosa looking for subs off his back but Yukinobu has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbosa manages to get to full guard.

Yukinobu is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Barbosa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yukinobu is looking to defend but Barbosa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yukinobu! Barbosa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yukinobu taps out and this one is all over!
