Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alzado eats them both and turns towards Machado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Machado tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Machado keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Alzado.
Machado tries to clinch up but Alzado circles away and keeps his distance.
Alzado throws a series of punches but Machado avoids them all with ease.

Alzado lands a left and a right that send Machado crashing to the mat, dazed. Alzado thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Machado is rocked!

It looks like Heitor Machado has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alzado thows a left - swing and a miss!

Machado seems to have recovered his senses.
Alzado throws a nice looking combination but Machado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Alzado throws a leg kick but Machado checks it.
Machado on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Machado closes the distance and pushes Alzado back into the cage.

Machado fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Machado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machado ducks under a wild hook from Alzado.
Machado is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lyle Alzado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alzado will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Alzado struggles to land a body shot inside as Machado controls his hands.

Machado manages to break the clinch.
Alzado jabs Machado right on the nose. Machado blinks but takes it well.
Machado shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alzado counters with a huge left! Machado is in big trouble! He's backing up but Alzado isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Machado from any more damage. A dominating finish by Alzado!
