Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Simpson (ranked 4727 p4p, 2786 weight class) and Leonardo Pesce (ranked 158 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deshawn Simpson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonardo Pesce!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Some bone on bone action there as Simpson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Simpson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Pesce looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pesce wants to get back to striking at distance but Simpson won't allow it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Simpson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Simpson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Simpson digs a right hand into Pesce's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pesce's gas tank.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That has opened up Leonardo Pesce's cut even more.
A left hand lands to the body for Simpson.
Simpson dips a shoulder and cracks Pesce with a mighty uppercut! Pesce falls back against the cage and Simpson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Pesce is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Simpson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deshawn Simpson!
