Quigley has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Quigley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doraku Niten!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quigley connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Doraku Niten has been cut.
Niten defending well as Quigley loads up on a big left hand.
Niten fails in his attempt to clinch.
Niten uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Quigley.
Quigley misses with a wild body shot.

Niten clinches up against the cage.
Quigley lands a right hand.
Quigley gets underhooks to prevent Niten's takedown attempt.

Niten turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Niten manages to end up in side control.
Quigley regains half guard, as Niten was trying to land strikes.
Niten tries to pass to full mount but Quigley defends it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Niten takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Quigley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Quigley tries to get out of the position.
Niten seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quigley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Niten tries to pass to full mount but Quigley defends it.
Quigley is in trouble now - Niten has advanced to mount!
Niten lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Quigley hang on?
Niten is landing with some decent strikes but Quigley is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Quigley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Quigley is breathing heavily.
Niten in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Quigley that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Niten lands a nice shot to the head.
Niten pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Niten is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Quigley is in a horrible position here. Niten smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Quigley is bucking up trying to escape but Niten cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Quigley is in all sorts of trouble here.
Niten lands with some strikes.
Niten working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Niten is landing with some decent strikes but Quigley is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Oh Quigley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Niten postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Quigley looks a forlorn figure.
Niten connects with a bit shot that sees Quigley covering up! More strikes from Niten and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Niten is our winner by TKO!
