Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Norifumi Makayata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunn comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bia Bia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Norifumi Makayata! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Dunn! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makayata shoots for a double leg takedown but Dunn sprawls well. He's pushed Makayata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dunn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Makayata pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dunn stuffs the takedown. Makayata throws a shot from downtown. Dunn moves away and avoids it. Makayata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dunn looks to land a combination but Makayata avoids it well. Horrible takedown by Makayata or perhaps it was just good defense by Dunn which made him look bad. Makayata fails with the takedown. Good exchange - Dunn coming out on top. Dunn throws a nice looking combination but Makayata bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Makayata shoots in for a double leg but Dunn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dunn closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jason Dunn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dunn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Makayata's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makayata tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dunn cracks Makayata with a good jab. Dunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Makayata fails with the takedown. Dunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Dunn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Makayata slips a jab and a cross from Dunn.
Dunn works over Makayata's head and body with a nice combination. Dunn stuffs the takedown attempt from Makayata. Makayata gets slowly back to his feet. Makayata showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dunn.
Dunn lands a jab-cross combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn throws a good cross that connects.

Dunn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Makayata on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Dunn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dunn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dunn. Dunn scores with a leg kick.
Dunn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dunn!
Dunn tests Makayata's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dunn lands with a slapping head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Makayata moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Makayata will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dunn lunges at Makayata with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Makayata's hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Dunn clobbers Makayata with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Makayata is rocked! Dunn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Dunn duly obliges. Oh Makayata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dunn is working the combinations to good effect here. Dunn lands a brutal head kick. Makayata looks out on his feet and Dunn throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Jason Dunn! Jason Dunn is the new featherweight champion!
