The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleary changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Elijah Cleary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mbappe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Cleary gets caught napping as Mbappe dives in and scores a takedown. Cleary manages to retain guard.
Mbappe throwing strikes but missing.
Mbappe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cleary on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cleary tries to get out of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cleary preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Mbappe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cleary working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mbappe.
Cleary knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mbappe on the ground.
Cleary is looking to stand up but Mbappe isn't so interested in that idea.
Mbappe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mbappe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mbappe controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mbappe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cleary to see if he's OK.

Mbappe is working to tighten his grip on Cleary's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cleary has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mbappe is really squeezing tight and eventually Cleary passes out! Mbappe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
