Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Larkin (ranked 422 p4p, 790 weight class) and Gene Parmesan (ranked 56 p4p, 121 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Larkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gene Parmesan! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larkin dips to his left and cracks Parmesan with an uppercut! Parmesan misses with a looping left. Nice shot lands for Larkin. Larkin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Larkin lands a nice looking body shot.
Parmesan stuns Larkin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Parmesan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Parmesan connects with the punch.
It looks like Donnie Larkin has been cut. Larkin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Parmesan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Larkin. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Larkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Parmesan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Parmesan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Larkin takes a step back to recover. Larkin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Larkin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parmesan's half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larkin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Larkin is looking to take a break and control but Parmesan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larkin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parmesan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Larkin pulls his head out easily. Parmesan tries to get to full guard but Larkin has control of the leg. Larkin controlling the pace. Larkin working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Larkin is working for a submission of some sort.
Larkin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parmesan's head. Parmesan wants to get back to full guard. Larkin stalling. Larkin trying to control from half guard but Parmesan is working away. Larkin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Parmesan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Larkin has cracked it and Parmesan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Larkin!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Donnie Larkin! Donnie Larkin bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
