Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Tonon (ranked 2299 p4p, 2258 weight class) and Patrik Mustonen (ranked 284 p4p, 278 weight class). Patrik Mustonen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrik Mustonen!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonon moves out of range of the body kick.
Mustonen throws a leg kick that is checked
so Tonon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mustonen working a defensive guard here.
Mustonen has Tonon pulled in close to control his posture.
Mustonen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mustonen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tonon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tonon pushes down on Mustonen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tonon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mustonen wants to improve his position but Tonon is controlling well.
Tonon wants to pass the guard but Mustonen is defending well.
Tonon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
