Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Rohl (ranked 3352 p4p, 5177 weight class) and Justin Boyington (ranked 409 p4p, 533 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Rohl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Boyington! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyington throws a jab when Rohl was well out of range. It appears Rohl was looking to counter with a kick there. Rohl misses with a leg kick. Boyington throws a front kick that sends Rohl stumbling back into the cage. Rohl is looking to clinch. A leg kick checked by Boyington. Boyington connects with a leg kick. We've been informed that Boyington has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Boyington throws a body punch but Rohl moves out of range. Rohl uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boyington. Rohl wants to slow Boyington down by chopping away at his legs. Boyington swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boyington avoids the head kick by Rohl.
Boyington tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Boyington throws a nice outside leg kick. Rohl looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rohl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boyington throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A big right from Boyington misses. A head kick by Boyington misses and Rohl counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rohl landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Boyington regains full guard. Nicely done. Boyington looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rohl has his hands clasped together but Boyington extends and breaks Rohl's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Boyington.
