Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Marmot (ranked 6131 p4p, 5458 weight class) and Danny Young (ranked 0 p4p, 615 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Young fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marmot , pushing him back against the cage.

Young really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marmot . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Young wants to get up but he can't break Marmot 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Young wants to pass the guard but Marmot is keeping the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A close round but Danny Young will probably get the nod.

Marmot throws a sloppy head kick and Young moves out of range easily.

Young is looking to control Marmot 's arms but Marmot gets an underhook and turns him. Now Young has his back to the cage.

Marmot drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Marmot connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Young some visible discomfort.
Young tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Marmot has his opponent's back but Young is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Marmot .
Danny Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marmot avoids the body shot from Young.
Marmot was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Young tries to clinch there but Marmot circles away.

Marmot shoots in and gets a takedown into Young's guard.
Young wants to stand but Marmot is controlling the position.

Young pushes Marmot off and gets back to his feet.
Young moves out of range of the body kick.
A little jabbing left from Young on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Marmot gets the takedown into side control.
Young bucks up and tries to throw Marmot off but instead Marmot has got his back!
Young is breathing heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marmot has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Young is defending well but eventually Marmot manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Young has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
