Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tenho Lahti (ranked 3508 p4p, 2699 weight class) and Fedor Johnson (ranked 422 p4p, 338 weight class). Lahti comes to the cage accompanied by Säkkijärven Polkka. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tenho Lahti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahti staying out of range there. Johnson throws a jab when Lahti was well out of range. We've been informed that Johnson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Lahti fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage. Johnson tries to break free but Lahti pushes him back against the cage. Lahti with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Lahti tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Lahti comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Fedor Johnson has been cut. Lahti misses with an elbow over the top. Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lahti lands an elbow inside that Johnson shrugs off. Lahti is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Lahti manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lahti sitting in guard here, content to control. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lahti is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Lahti is stalling in the full guard. Lahti postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Johnson wants to stand up but Lahti is controlling him. Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lahti stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lahti's guard. Lahti wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lahti keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Lahti wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lahti counters with a lovely shot to the body. Lahti closes the distance and clinches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tenho Lahti dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fedor Johnson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Johnson throws a body shot but no joy. Lahti takes one to the side of the head.
Johnson cracks a nice hook into Lahti's ribs. Lahti moves into the clinch successfully.
Johnson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Johnson takes a knee to the side of the body. Lahti lands a body punch. Lahti has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Lahti gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Johnson keeping full guard, as Lahti tries to pass. Johnson is trying to control the position but Lahti postures up. Lahti scoring with punches to the head and body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lahti content to stall in guard here. Johnson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lahti content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johnson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson throws the left hand but Lahti avoids the punch easily. Johnson lands a jab to Lahti's midsection. Lahti is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Lahti takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Tenho Lahti has been cut. Johnson lands with a hook. Lahti tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lahti tries a head kick but it misses.
Lahti clinches up against the cage. Nice elbow from Lahti. Johnson misses with a hook from the clinch. Lahti throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Johnson blocks it with crossed arms. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Johnson. Johnson throws a head punch that misses. Lahti blocks an uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Fedor Johnson will probably get the nod - 10:9. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Lahti takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fedor Johnson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Lahti. Lahti is looking to counter the offense by Johnson and move into the clinch. Nice shot by Johnson. Johnson connects with a crisp jab. Lahti takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lahti slips a straight right by Johnson. Lahti is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Johnson works Lahti's body with a nice hook. Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Lahti's belly button to the back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson lands with a nice body punch. Johnson drops Lahti with a big left hand! Lahti is injured, injured bad! Johnson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
