Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andor Kovacs (ranked 2892 p4p, 5093 weight class) and Vlad Tabares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vlad Tabares!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs dodges the punch combination from Tabares.
Tabares ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kovacs moves away.
Tabares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tabares ducks right into an uppercut from Kovacs.
Kovacs scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kovacs throws a series of punches but Tabares moves out of range.
Kovacs lands a left and a right that send Tabares crashing to the mat, dazed. Kovacs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tabares throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tabares throws a poor cross that misses
and Kovacs counters with a stiff right hand.
Tabares loses concentration momentarily and Kovacs pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Tabares crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Kovacs finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Andor Kovacs!
In his post fight interview, Andor Kovacs started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
