Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beau Lauzon!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzon throws a body punch but Woods moves out of range.
Woods shoots and misses
and Lauzon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Woods doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lauzon counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Joey Woods has been cut.
Lauzon scores with a sloppy right hand. Woods should have avoided that one.
Woods looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lauzon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Woods.
Woods tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lauzon defends well and Woods ends up having to push Lauzon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Woods. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lauzon lands a nice shot to the body.
Lauzon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Woods is trying to pull guard but Lauzon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lauzon scores with a shot to the side of Woods's head.
Lauzon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Woods backwards.
A right hook to the body lands for Lauzon.
Woods is breathing heavily.

Lauzon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Woods can't fight it off and eventually Lauzon manages to take the fight to the floor. Woods looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lauzon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lauzon looking to pass the guard.
Lauzon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lauzon tries to free his leg and advance position but Woods is retaining full guard.
Lauzon stands and throws Woods's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Woods is not content to let Lauzon control the position.
Woods is trying to escape the position but Lauzon is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Woods gets back to half guard.
Lauzon is trying to control. Woods wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lauzon uses his free foot to push down on Woods's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Woods.
Woods tries to reverse the position but Lauzon maintains control.
Woods wants to control but Lauzon is having none of it.
Woods is squirming around, avoiding Lauzon's attempts to control the action.

Lauzon working for a guillotine from mount but Woods is in no mood to give up.

Woods tries to lock up and control but Lauzon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Woods tries to reverse the position but Lauzon maintains control.
Lauzon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Woods is looking to escape.
Lauzon is trying to control here but Woods has managed to regain half guard.

Woods is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Lauzon has latched onto it... Big trouble! Lauzon pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Woods is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Lauzon!
