Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peguero Jean Philippe (ranked 2016 p4p, 2844 weight class) and Yuxiang Wu (ranked 296 p4p, 411 weight class). Philippe comes to the cage accompanied by Chant vaudou haitien. Yuxiang Wu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu darts in looking for a takedown but Philippe gets double underhooks and turns Wu into the cage.
Yuxiang Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Philippe scores with a jab to the body.
Wu shoots in and drives through. Philippe sprawls well.
Philippe is looking to counter punch.
Wu tries to move into range but Philippe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

I was talking to Philippe's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Philippe tries a body shot but Wu blocks it.

Wu jumps guard but Philippe turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Philippe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Philippe has managed to get both his arms back between Wu's legs - danger averted.

Philippe clobbers Wu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Philippe finds Wu's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Wu flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Philippe lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Wu will be OK.
