Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinez's waist but Martinez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chi off to one side.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chi.
Chi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Martinez misses with a hook. Chi ducked under it nicely.
Chi clinches up against the cage.
Martinez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Chi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Martinez just stands there and leans against the cage.
Martinez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chi wants to stand up but Martinez has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Chi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Martinez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Martinez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Martinez.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Martinez looks to land a combination but Chi avoids it well.

and Martinez counters with a single leg into guard. Chi didn't expect that.
Martinez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martinez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Martinez has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Martinez has knee on belly momentarily but Chi bucks him off and regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Martinez will probably get the nod.

Chi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Chi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Martinez.
Martinez slips a jab and a cross from Chi.
Martinez keeps the fight on the outside.
Chi misses with a takedown
and Martinez counters by moving into the clinch.
Chi keeps control of Martinez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Martinez gets control of Chi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Martinez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Martinez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Chi uses it to pass to side control.
Martinez is trying to improve his position.

Chi creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

It looks like Chi is going to stand back up.

Martinez is looking for a triangle but Chi pushes his legs off easily.

Martinez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Martinez is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Chi is in real trouble.

Martinez is persistently looking for the submission but Chi is defending it well.

Martinez is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Chi won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Martinez off his unconscious opponent!
