Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Wilson (ranked 5220 p4p, 24519 weight class) and Stewart Folayang (ranked 610 p4p, 693 weight class). Folayang comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Francis Magalona - Man from Manila kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stewart Folayang looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stewart Folayang!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson clinches.
Folayang looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Folayang is trying to drag Wilson to the mat but Wilson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wilson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Folayang uses from the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wilson passes Folayang's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Wilson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Folayang has managed to free his arm - good work.

Folayang felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Folayang should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Wilson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Folayang defends it well.
Wilson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Folayang!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Wilson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Folayang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wilson has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Folayang. Oh but Wilson has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Folayang goes limp - he's gone! Wilson jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
