Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allen Jones (ranked 4749 p4p, 5588 weight class) and Blanco Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Phenomenal. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allen Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blanco Thunder! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is looking to clinch but Thunder is avoiding it.
And Thunder tries to counter it with a takedown but Jones pushes his down on his head and steps out. Thunder misses with a low kick as Jones jumps back. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Thunder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Thunder closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Thunder pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Thunder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Allen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blanco Thunder. Thunder gets a takedown into half guard. Thunder is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thunder seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Thunder postures up.
Thunder stops Jones from getting back to his feet.
Thunder prevents Jones from improving his position. Thunder content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jones is trying to get back to full guard. Thunder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones moves into full guard.
Jones pulls Thunder in to control the position. Thunder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jones tries to clinch there but Thunder circles away.
Thunder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Thunder, which made it look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thunder closes the distance and clinches. Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Thunder.
Jones looking to stall.
Jones blocks an elbow strike from Thunder.
Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Thunder shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Thunder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thunder misses with an attempted mid kick.
Thunder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Thunder tries a low kick but Jones avoids it. Jones tries to counter with a takedown but Thunder is quick to defend against it. Thunder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thunder tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch. Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Thunder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Thunder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Thunder looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones shoots in but Thunder avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones misses with a wild combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Allen Jones will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Thunder shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thunder's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thunder as he avoids it easily. Thunder is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Thunder shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well. A head kick misses from Jones. Thunder drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jones defends it well. Thunder fails with a takedown attempt. Allen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blanco Thunder. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Thunder enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Thunder manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Thunder. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Thunder is controlling Jones's posture. Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Thunder throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Thunder has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jones is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Thunder wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Jones wants a takedown but no success here.
Thunder is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Thunder is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Thunder tries to land knees in the clinch but Jones avoids the damage to the body. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thunder walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Thunder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Thunder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Thunder is breathing heavily. Jones tries for a takedown but Thunder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Thunder tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jones has picked Thunder up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Thunder has one foot on Jones's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Jones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thunder did well to prevent Jones getting side control. Thunder manages to escape and get back to his feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Thunder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Thunder ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jones tries to keep at a distance but Thunder has taken the fight into the clinch. Jones is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to pull guard but Thunder turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thunder is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Thunder can't get the takedown.
Thunder ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thunder no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jones trying to control but Thunder is working from the bottom. Thunder looking to control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Thunder holds on and takes a little breather. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Blanco Thunder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Thunder shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Thunder looking to pass the guard. Thunder trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones looking to control.
Thunder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to stand up but Thunder is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thunder trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thunder got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thunder has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Thunder is stalling in the full guard. Thunder advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Thunder tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Jones. Thunder thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Jones is trying to maintain the position but Thunder is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones misses with the combination.
Thunder lands a right hook to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Thunder scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thunder closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Thunder pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Thunder instigates a clinch. Come on Thunder - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Thunder is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Allen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blanco Thunder. Thunder effectively controlling the action here. Thunder breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Thunder gets off balance looking for a body kick and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Jones prevents Thunder from escaping the position. Thunder struggling a bit here. Thunder is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thunder, who protects the arm well. Jones passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Thunder!
And that's the end of the fight! Blanco Thunder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Thunder has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
