Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwin James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Nasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwin James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Nasty! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James is looking to land body kicks. Nasty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nasty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Nasty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nasty looks for a takedown but James sprawls well. Edwin James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Nasty. Donk. James catches Nasty right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Big Nasty has been cut. James waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Nasty. Nasty scores with a nice body kick.
Nasty shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily. James throws the left hand but Nasty avoids the punch easily. James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nasty. Nasty shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily. James throws a wild body kick that Nasty sees coming a mile off. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A telegraphed right hand from James misses the target. James misses with a takedown and Nasty counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! James missing with punches from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
James blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nasty. Nasty stalling. James might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Let's hope that Nasty has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nasty's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. I looks like Nasty might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
James is breathing heavily.
Despite being in the dominant position, Big Nasty just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. James lands with a shot to the body. Nasty misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A slow jab from James misses its intended target. Nasty takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
James misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nasty instigates a clinch. Nasty changes levels and goes for a takedown here. James fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nasty has James up against the cage in a clinch.
Nasty wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. James can't break the clinch.
Nasty breaks from the clinch.
Edwin James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James tries to bum rush Nasty with a series of wild strikes but Nasty uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nasty shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nasty was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nasty content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Big Nasty dominated that round. The cut man is working on Big Nasty's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nasty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nasty lands in his opponent's guard. James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nasty is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasty passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Well, if Nasty is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nasty is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! James is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Big Nasty!
