This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 10 losses; Ceph Alopodis! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 7 losses; Billy Conforto!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Alopodis struggling to keep hold of the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Alopodis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

I really don't envy Conforto right now.

Conforto is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Alopodis gets his way!

Alopodis has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Conforto has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Conforto is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Alopodis has managed to slip his arm under Conforto's chin. This could be all over... yep, Conforto is tapping out! Submission win for Alopodis.

Ceph Alopodis very nearly forgot to thank HELLS BALLS RECOVERY amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
