Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vartanein digs a good hook to Catartes's body.
Vartanein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Catartes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vartanein missing with a left hand there. Catartes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Catartes thinks about countering with a head kick.
Vartanein scores with a crisp jab that stopped Catartes in his tracks.
Vartanein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Catartes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Catartes bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Catartes misses with a few strikes there.
Catartes throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Vartanein's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Catartes dives in looking to finish as Vartanein flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Catartes's strikes! Catartes is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Vartanein's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Vartanein was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
