Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andreas Kohler!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kohler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maki cracks Kohler with a right hand to the side of the head.
Andreas Kohler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kohler avoids the body shot from Maki.
Kohler dives in and grabs Maki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maki pushes down on Kohler's head and hops out.
Kohler shoots in for a takedown but Maki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kohler shoots for a double leg takedown but Maki sprawls well. He's pushed Kohler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jore Maki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andreas Kohler.

I was talking to Maki's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Maki lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Maki dips a shoulder and cracks Kohler with a mighty uppercut! Kohler falls back against the cage and Maki unloads with a barrage of strikes! Kohler is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Maki screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
