Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Delbert Mazzariello!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rammsie Hartmann!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazzariello looks for a takedown but Hartmann sprawls well.
Hartmann tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hartmann looking to score a takedown here. Mazzariello is defending well but Hartmann drives through and ends up in Mazzariello's guard.
Hartmann throws a strike but Mazzariello rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Mazzariello stands and throws Hartmann's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hartmann tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hartmann can't do much from the bottom here.
Hartmann is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mazzariello has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hartmann wants to get back to his feet but Mazzariello drags him back down.
Mazzariello throws an elbow but Hartmann slips to the side and avoids it well.

Mazzariello is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hartmann knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mazzariello postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hartmann is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mazzariello has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hartmann is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hartmann tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mazzariello presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Hartmann avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mazzariello.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hartmann can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hartmann sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Mazzariello takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mazzariello is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Hartmann is hurt! He's hurt bad - Mazzariello fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Hartmann from any more punishment! Congratulations to Mazzariello! Great finish!
