Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duannis Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rory Roshi!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Roshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Frank closes the distance and pushes Roshi back into the ropes.
Roshi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Roshi misses with a short punch on the inside.
Roshi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Frank blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Frank breaks the clinch.
Frank avoids the body shot from Roshi.
Roshi throws a body punch but Frank moves out of range.
Roshi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Roshi gets tackled into the ropes by Frank. Frank maintains the clinch.
Roshi misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roshi looking to stall.
Roshi tries to work over Frank's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Roshi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Frank or not.

Roshi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Roshi cracks Frank with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Frank moves into range and clinches up with Roshi.
Roshi lands a shot to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Frank creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Roshi pushes Frank back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Roshi misses with the head strike.
Roshi misses with a punch to the body.
Roshi misses with a punch to the body.
Roshi scores with a nice hook to the head.
Frank prevents a body shot from Roshi.
Roshi takes a shot to the head.
Roshi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Roshi breaks the clinch.
Frank takes one to the chin there.
Frank connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roshi misses with a body shot.

Roshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frank moves away.
Roshi avoids the head kick by Frank.
Roshi wants to clinch up but Frank keeps it at a distance.
Roshi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Roshi misses with an uppercut.
A little feinted left hand from Frank on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Frank has managed to clinch.
Roshi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Roshi breaks from the clinch.
Rory Roshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frank gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Roshi looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Frank blocks a body shot from Roshi.
Roshi struggles to land a body shot inside as Frank controls his hands.
Roshi throws a head punch that misses.
Roshi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Roshi is trying to maintain a safe position but Frank gets an underhook and turns Roshi into the ropes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frank blocks an uppercut.

Frank breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Roshi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Frank to counter with a crisp jab.

Frank moves into the clinch.
Roshi is trying to break free.
A head punch on the inside from Frank fails to land.
Roshi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Frank throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Roshis head.

Roshi breaks from the clinch.
Roshi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roshi wants to clinch
and Frank counters with a straight right hand.

Roshi is rocked!
Frank blocks a jab.
Roshi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Frank cracks Roshi with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Roshi is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Roshi is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Roshi could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Duannis Frank!
A relieved looking Duannis Frank thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
