PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Jordan (ranked 4564 p4p, 6210 weight class) and Cordell Walker (ranked 487 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen Eyes of a Ranger as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cordell Walker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cordell Walker!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan takes a swing at Walker's ribcage but misses.
Jordan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Walker throws a body shot but no joy.
Jordan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jordan scores with a nice strike.
Walker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jordan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jordan is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Jordan circles away and we're back to standing.
Jordan lands with a hook. Walker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Walker walks into a left hand.

A slow jab from Walker misses its intended target.
Lee Jordan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Jordan does it's job there.
Jordan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

A counter left hand to the body from Jordan misses its target.
Walker missing with a left hand there. Jordan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jordan throwing a counter right hand but Walker manages to avoid it.
Walker throws a body punch but Jordan moves out of range.
Walker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jordan cracks a nice hook into Walker's ribs.
Horrible takedown attempt by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Jordan, which made it look bad.

Walker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jordan manages to avoid it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jordan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Walker walks into a jab.

It looks like Cordell Walker has been cut.
Jordan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Walker throws a hook but Jordan blocks it.
Walker on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Walker throws a hook to the side of Jordan's head but Jordan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jordan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Jordan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Walker scores with a sloppy right hand. Jordan should have avoided that one.

Walker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Walker swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Jordan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Walker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jordan is able to avoid easily.
Walker looks to land a body kick but Jordan moved away.
Jordan connects with a single shot there.
Good exchange - Jordan coming out on top.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jordan, as that shot connected.
Jordan swats away the attempt to clinch by Walker.
Jordan throws a series of strikes that have Walker backpedaling.

Jordan connects with a looping right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Walker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Jordan ducks down to avoid it.
Jordan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walker.
Jordan just misses with a punch to the body.
Jordan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Jordan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Walker has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Walker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Walker defending well as Jordan loads up on a big left hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Jordan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cordell Walker's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Walker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jordan cracks Walker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Walker takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Walker misses the jab.
Jordan works Walker's body with a nice hook.
Jordan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around?
Jordan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Walker at a distance.
Jordan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jordan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Walker looks to score with a jab to the body but Jordan is just out of range.
Jordan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lee Jordan is winning the standup battle so far.

Jordan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jordan's corner calls for a 1-2. Jordan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Walker throws a hook but Jordan avoids it easily.
Jordan lands with a hook. Walker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jordan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Walker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jordan drops Walker with a beautiful combination! Walker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jordan is looking for the KO!

Walker is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jordan cracks a nice hook into Walker's ribs.
Walker is still on wobbly legs! Can Jordan finish him?

The fighters circling - Walker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Walker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jordan cracks Walker with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jordan drops Walker with a naaaaasty hook - Walker is in real trouble here! Jordan dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Jordan!
