And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 12 losses; Steel Grappler!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Paul Gruel.

Kakuto is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Grappler to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Kakuto is looking to take a break and control but Grappler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kakuto wants to advance to full mount but Grappler doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Grappler looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Kakuto right now.
Kakuto is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Canucks Combat Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Kakuto is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Grappler.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grappler pulls Kakuto in close to prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kakuto wants to pass the guard but Grappler is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Grappler wins on points by 12 to 9.
Steel Grappler tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
The defeated Tsuyoi Kakuto had this to say: 'Kyō wa watashi ga katenaito kami wa watashi ni itta (God Told Me I cannot Win today) '.
