Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor Mac Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshi Takano!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takano throws a push kick but Burns slaps the foot to one side.
Takano throws a leg kick but Burns moved away.
Takano throws a quick inside leg kick.
Takano misses with a body kick.
Burns fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Takano looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Takano plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Burns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Burns has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zenarals' House in the buildup to the fight.
Takano turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Burns throws a quick inside leg kick.
Takano takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Burns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burns tries to land a front kick but Takano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Burns moves out of range of the body kick.
Takano tries to score with a low kick but Burns moves his leg out of the way.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Burns has taken the fight to the clinch.
Takano tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Burns avoids it.
Burns connects with a knee to the head.
Burns tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns lands an elbow that stopped Takano in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Yoshi Takano has been cut.
Takano takes a shot to the head.
Takano pushes Burns back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Takano misses with a punch on the inside.
A short body shot lands from Burns as the two fighters clinch.
Burns's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Takano told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Burns is trying to maintain a safe position but Takano gets an underhook and turns Burns into the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Burns throws an elbow but misses.
Burns throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Takano blocks it with crossed arms.
Takano is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Burns is defending well for now.
Takano is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
With the fighters up against the cage, Burns throws an elbow but misses.
Burns misses with a body punch.
Takano misses with a knee to the head.
Burns tries to land a knee to the head but Takano blocks with his arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Takano looks winded!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burns lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Takano.
Burns tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Burns lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Takano blocks an elbow strike.
Burns putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Takano in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burns is struggling to control the position.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Burns throws a lazy right hand but Takano sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Burns scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Takano pivots, looking for a leg kick but Burns is out of range and Takano settles back down.

Takano on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Burns swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takano missing with a left hand there. Burns was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Burns is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takano can do to turn this around?

Burns sends Takano crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Burns is motioning to the referee to let Takano up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Takano is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A combination from Burns does no damage.
Takano is still on wobbly legs! Can Burns finish him?
Burns lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Takano head around and knocks him out cold! Burns hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Connor Mac Burns!
Our winner, Connor Mac Burns, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
