Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verme dives in and grabs Magomedov 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Magomedov pushes down on Verme's head and hops out.
Verme looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Magomedov is fending him off so far but Verme persists. Nope, Magomedov circles away and we're back to standing.
Verme tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Magomedov defends well and Verme ends up having to push Magomedov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sergei Magomedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giulio Verme.
Verme closes the distance and clinches up with Magomedov , looking for a takedown. Verme pushes Magomedov against the cage but Magomedov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Magomedov tries to counter with a takedown but Verme is quick to defend against it.
Magomedov misses with a leg kick.
Verme misses with a takedown attempt - Magomedov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Magomedov has been working on his balance at WolfPac Academy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Verme.

Magomedov throws a right and a left that Verme avoids nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magomedov misses with a body shot.
Magomedov slaps away a takedown attempt from Verme, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Magomedov tries to counter with a takedown but Verme is quick to defend against it.
Magomedov keeps the fight on the outside.
Magomedov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Verme sprawls and moves away.

Magomedov rushes Verme and presses him up against the cage.
Verme keeps control of Magomedov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Magomedov is trying to break free.
Magomedov has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Verme is trying to keep an underhook but Magomedov manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Magomedov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Verme's head.
Magomedov wants to work for an arm triangle but Verme is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Magomedov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Magomedov in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Verme tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Magomedov !
