Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Breech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Pato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breech's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Flight of the Bumble-bee" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Alex Pato enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Breech! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Pato! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breech moves in looking to clinch but Pato pushes him off. Breech misses with a kick to the body.
Breech tries to close the distance and clinch but Pato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pato drops Breech with a beautiful combination! Breech stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pato is looking for the KO!
It looks like Frank Breech has been cut. Breech moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Breech tries a head kick but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Breech just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pato's brow. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Pato blocks an elbow strike from Breech.
Pato jumps guard but Breech stands there with Pato around his waist. Pato gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Breech tries to clinch up but Pato circles away and keeps his distance. Breech tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pato swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pato feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Breech looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pato is one step ahead there. Pato lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pato pushing down on Breech's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Breech on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Breech tries to get out of the position. Well, if Pato is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Pato sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Breech defending well though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Breech is refusing to be controlled, as Pato sits in half guard. Breech pushes Pato off looking to stand but Pato dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Breech dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pato jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pato bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Breech pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pato shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Breech bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pato's guard. Pato has control of Breech's left arm, preventing Breech from doing any damage. Pato manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Breech is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pato throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Poor strikes thrown by Pato there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Breech is bucking up trying to escape but Pato cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Breech really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Breech is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pato tries to control but Breech wriggling away. Pato lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breech can't escape the position.
Pato raining down shots from the mount! Breech in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Pato postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Breech in real trouble here! The ref calls for Breech to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Pato!
