Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Balon Swann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smarky Malarkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malarkey has chosen LL Cool J -- Momma said knock you out. as his entrance music. Balon Swann has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balon Swann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Smarky Malarkey! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Swann - just one landing. Malarkey slips under a jab. Swann looks to land a combination but Malarkey avoids it well. Swann throws a chopping leg kick but Malarkey manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Swann walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Balon Swann has been cut. Malarkey cracks Swann with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Swann thows a body shot but no joy. Swann drops his hands momentarily and Malarkey takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Swann tries to clinch but Malarkey is having none of it. Malarkey lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Swann sprawling to the canvas. Malarkey follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Swann hang on?
Swann is rocked! Malarkey is working for a kimura but Swann is defending it quite comfortably.
Oh Swann is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Malarkey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Swann does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Swann seems to have got his legs back now. Malarkey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swann looks like he's trying to stand up.
Malarkey is trying to control the action in half guard but Swann is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Malarkey trying to pass the guard but Swann defending well. Swann wants to get back to his feet. Swann might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Swann keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Malarkey ducks under a wild hook from Swann. Swann tries to clinch up. Swann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Malarkey counters with a left and a right that stings Swann.
Balon Swann's cut is getting worse. Swann throws an overhand right that lands on Malarkey's shoulder, as Malarkey tries to avoid the shot. Malarkey moves into the clinch successfully.
Swann doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malarkey keeps control of Swann as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Malarkey wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Malarkey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Swann tries to score with a low kick but Malarkey moves his leg out of the way. Swann swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Malarkey counters with a nice uppercut. Swann misses with a body kick. Swann missing with a left hand there. Malarkey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Malarkey slips a jab from Swann. Malarkey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Swann. Swann takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Malarkey checks the leg kick. Malarkey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Balon Swann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swann throws a head kick that misses. Nice body punch from Malarkey. Swann is breathing heavily. Malarkey wants to clinch. Swann looks to clinch and Malarkey counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Swann!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malarkey controlling the pace for now. Malarkey cracks Swann with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Balon Swann's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Swann wants to try and get back to his feet. Malarkey working the ground and pound effectively.
Swann really wants to buck Malarkey off and get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Malarkey. Malarkey lands a big elbow.
Jeez, Balon Swann's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Balon Swann's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Smarky Malarkey!
