The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Reznov.
Reznov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Reznov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reznov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Saprykin is trying to get back to half guard.
Reznov has hold of Saprykin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Saprykin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Reznov cranks the arm and Saprykin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Saprykin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Viktor Reznov!
